SQL Server - DDL Commands





Data Definition Language (DDL):

DDL stands for Data Definition Language. DDL commands are used to create database objects like Database, Tables, Procedures, and Views etc., and its objects and modify the structure of database objects.

DDL Commands

CREATE Creates objects (Tables, Procedures and Views etc.) in the database.

ALTERChanges the structure of objects of the database.

DROPDeletes objects of the database

TRUNCATE Deletes all records from a table and resets table identity to initial value.

COMMENTSis used to add comments to the data dictionary.
